Workplan
The Work Plan defined for the MULTISCAN 3D project is designed to ensure a successful way for developing of the laser-plasma based source as a new static radiation generating technique, addressing customs challenges and following the targeted technical and commercial roadmap. It is divided in ten work packages (WP):
WP1
WP1 will draw together the stakeholder requirements of this community to ensure that they are representative of the challenges faced and presented in terms of priority.
WP2
WP2 aims at (1) solving the technological bottlenecks needed to develop the different parts of a laser-plasma X-ray source in the purpose of a 3D imaging cargo-inspection system, (2) designing those subparts for lab-test validation in WP5.
WP3
WP3 will develops methods for 3D image reconstruction from sparse-view X-ray data, as well as associated image processing, visualisation, and handling of X-ray imaging data.
WP4
WP4 will determine the technology and the geometry of detection block for Static/semi-static Multiview/CT system, design, test and implement a mock-up and a prototype of a self-aligned detection line for static CT, as well as advanced technologies based on SiPM and digital pulse processing. Studies about laser based X-ray sources and online beam monitoring will also be conducted
WP5
WP5 will validate in a laboratory context the different technological bricks that have been developed in WP 2, 3, 4
WP6
WP6 is responsible of the experimental demonstration and simulation of the neutron beam based on laser plasma interactions, the cargo container neutron inspection techniques simulations based on a laser neutron source. Laser Plasma studies for full optics ICS Beam and photofissions and NRF simulation and POC based on an ICS Beam will be conducted
WP7
WP7 is responsible of the demonstration of and experimentation with the technical blocks developed in WP 1, 2, 3, 4, integrated in a simplified set-up in a field environment.
WP8, 9, 10
WP8, WP9 and WP10 are dedicated to the project management, the dissemination, communication and exploitation tasks, as well as the security and ethics requirements definitions and management
